The Past
Ashbrooke House School was founded in 1953 as a boys preparatory school with girls first admitted in the late 1960’s. In 1990 Ashbrooke House School expanded to take pupils from 4 to 11 years.

Since its inception Ashbrooke House School has established a fine reputation for academic success, with many pupils gaining places at leading independent senior schools in Bristol and the surrounding area. About 50% of Year 6 leavers enter local comprehensive schools.Ashbrooke House School Established 1953 

 

q       In 1993-4 both Head and Deputy Head boys at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Bristol were former Ashbrooke House School pupils.

q       In 1996 a pupil gained a top scholarship to Bristol Grammar School.

q       In 2000 pupils gained major scholarships to Taunton Preparatory School, Millfield Preparatory, Clifton College Preparatory and Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital.

q       In 2006 a pupil gained a scholarship to Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital and a year 3 student gained a major scholarship to Kings School, Worcester.

 

In 2004 the school celebrated its 50th anniversary. Mr and Mrs Teasdale took over Ashbrooke House School in September 1993. They are the proprietors, but day-to-day present management is under the direction of the head teacher Ruth Thomas.
