The school has a Christian ethos and each day begins with an assembly. Throughout the year the children are given opportunities to contribute to worthwhile causes and be involved with the local community.
Assessments are made of each child’s progress and reported to parents on a regular basis. Opportunities to meet teachers and discuss progress exist during Open Evenings in October and June with appointments welcome at other times.
The national assessments are made at age 7 and 11 and optional national assessment in English and Mathematics at years 3, 4 and 5. The school aims to give a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the National Curriculum. It has a well-resourced library and an active PTA supports the school by organising social and fund raising events.
