About Non-Native English Speakers

Ashbrooke House School has had a number of children over the years whose mother tongue has been Arabic, Korean, Chinese or Spanish.

About Overseas PupilsAll these children because of the small class sizes have made good progress. Teachers have been able to provide appropriate help and encouragements to enable such children to easily integrate.

Much learning takes place through social interaction especially the skills of speaking and listening. Teachers take special care to ensure that the needs of non-native speakers are carefully met and their welfare is closely monitored.
